More on David Wilkins
While Conservative leader Stephen Harper did not support Wilkins' comments yesterday, he did call Martin "The kid at school who would call you names from a safe distance". Martin, afraid of looking like a sissy, tried to show that David Wilkins isn't the only on who can conjure-up fireballs in his hands. He was not successful

Allegedly Martin's now offensive includes name calling...or misname calling. The following is from LPC's blog boy:
4:20 PM - A brief but revealing tale about life in the election bubble: This morning in Vancouver, the Prime Minister visited a lumber mill, toured the site and delivered a statement about softwood lumber to the assembled media. He made a reference to the U.S. ambassador to Canada. In doing so, he misspoke the man's name. Hey, it happens. One time I was interviewing Aaron Spelling and I called him Ernie. He was gracious enough to laugh it off and have his hired goon only rough me up a bit instead of breaking something.
Anyway, a short time ago the Conservative war room - which of course would never, ever make an error, except for that huge one they made mistaking ethnic Canadians for UFO abductees - actually issued a release in which they assailed the PM for a slip of the tongue. Here is an excerpt from the Conservative release:
Martin stuttered: “Let me be clear, I have a great deal of respect for Ambassador Wilson.”
Ambassador who? Last we checked, Ambassador David Wilkins was the U.S. Ambassador to Canada.
Ooooo. You sure got us on that one! But wait - here comes the punchline. In pointing out the Prime Minister's mistake, the Conservative war room made a mistake. The PM actually called him Ambassador Williams.
